Too Comfortable

 So my foster mom says I'm "too comfortable" now. I asked her what that meant and she said that I'm over being scared of the new environment especially since I've mastered the steps and haven't had any accidents in the house. I'm also good in the crate, though that's not as often anymore. I also am ok in the house with a muzzle. But interesting enough, she's been plopping that thing on me more often. I wonder if that has anything to do with the shoes....the toilet paper..... hmmm. Mom says I'm not letting her get enough sleep. What she doesn't realize is that if she lets me sleep with her and the other boys on the bed, it wouldn't be an issue. Golly, I could just lay on top of her. That is my FAVORITE thing to do. She accuses me of wanting to crawl under her skin. Is that REALLY so bad?! 

Anyway, I'm starting to like toys and I want more to chew. and I am soooo curious; my nose is in EVERYTHING! As you can see in this picture, my foster brothers have kind of had enough of me, they've told me in private that I'm breaking rules. Here they are....I guess this is why they look so disgusted.

So anyway, here are a couple of pictures of me showing off my wonderful ears and my strong physique! Aren't I handsome?!

Elroy the Lovebug

 So my foster mom says I'm a lovebug. I don't know what that is but she says this picture demonstrates this.

Mom says this is what I'm usually like. I love people. I'm a leaner and I love kisses. My foster mom does the best ear skritches too. EVERY morning when it's time to get up, I go from my bed on the floor of the bedroom, over to the side of her bed and guess what I do? I jump up and plop just my front legs across her body. I guess I surprise her because she always makes a funny noise!

Anyway, I've mastered the steps. I'm still a little wonky going up, but I'm doing it. And here's some of the best news.....I let my foster mom trim my nails with a Dremel. It was a little weird, but I watched my foster brothers have their nails done and they didn't seem to mind. 

Enough for now! We're hanging out at home on this rainy day. 

Welcome Elroy!!

Once again, we are fostering and that makes this mama pretty happy! It's been 4 years since I've had the chance to foster. 

Anyway, Elroy is a 4 year old boy, who within the first several hours has begun to conquer the steps and has been pretty polite to the cat (the other one ran for cover as a "just in case" measure!). As with our other fosters, I'll encourage him to type his own posts as we get to know him better. In the meantime, enjoy this SWEET face! It's just soooo kissable, and he thinks I'm a nut I'm sure!

Here's a bit of his experience in his own words...

Why didn't they warn me? This is ridiculous! I thought this would be a great place and then they put this nonsense on my head? I don't get it. Anyway, everyone seems to be ok here. There's another greyhound here and I think he's jealous because my foster mama keeps giving me kisses. It's strange though. She's not licking me. There's another smaller dog here and seems ok. He's obsessed with squeaky toys and balls. I don't get it. My foster mom says I'll eventually understand. 

So the food is good and the beds are nice. The only thing I don't understand is the steps. I've got the going down thing, but my foster mom says I'm awkward about it and am gonna land on my face one day when I miss a step. She also says that she's gonna pull a muscle trying to get me up the steps, one leg at a time. Once I'm up there, it's sleepy time and we all hang out in the bedroom. The other two dogs get on the bed. I'm starting to plop my big paws and legs on her in the AM when her alarm rings. She tells me that I'm squishing her. You just can't please some people.

BTW I am appalled at this picture she posted of me. It looks like I was out on an all night bender! The gall of some people!
